Jamie Redknapp for Tottenham Manager?

With Harry Redknapp's contract at Tottenham expiring in 2013 the question on all Spurs fan's lips will be "Will he stay on?". By the time his contract expires he will be 66 and dependent on Tottenham's fortunes on the pitch will he want to stay on or look for one final challenge before he calls time on his managerial career.

Many people think that Redknapp will take the England role in 2012 when current manager Fabio Capello leaves but Redknapp has told the media that he would prefer to stay in club football as he enjoys the day to day activities which are involved. Personally I think he will take the role if offered which means he has one more season left at Tottenham to groom a potential successor. Who better than his son Jamie.

Jamie, currently a Sky Sports pundit is highly regarded within the game and his knowledge and tactical awareness come through on his punditry before, during and after the game. In addition to this he has UEFA Coaching Badges and he is an ex Tottenham player. There is no reason why he can't continue in his role at Sky although in a lesser capacity as well. If Harry has Jamie working with him during next season in an Assistant Manager's role he can gain the necessary experience to add to his qualifications. I have spoken to many Spurs fans who would welcome this appointment although many believe that Spurs will actually employ from within i.e Kevin Bond with Joe Jordon or even Clive Allen. We shall see.
