Ex Man Utd players going into management

Sir Alex Ferguson has been at Manchester United for 25 years now and 12 of his former players have gone into management with only 2 of them currently having reasonable success. Why do so many of his players fail at management when they have had the luxury of working under arguably the greatest club manager of all time?

Lets look at the players:
Mark Hughes - current Fulham boss SUCCESS
Steve Bruce - current Sunderland boss SUCCESS
Mark Robins - Former Rotherham & Barnsley
Paul Ince - Former Macclesfield, MK Dons, Blackburn, Notts County
Bryan Robson - Middlesbrough, Bradford, Sheffield United, Thailand National Team, West Brom
Gordon Strachan - Celtic, Middlesbrough, Southampton, Coventry
Darren Ferguson - Peterborough, Preston (Current)
Ole Gunnar Solksjaer - Molde (Current)
Chris Casper - Team Bath, Bury
Roy Keane - Sunderland, Ipswich
Henning Berg - Lyn, Lillestrom (Current)
Andrei Kanchelskis - FC Torpedo-ZIL Moscow, FC Ufa (Current)

Obviously some of these players still have plenty of time to become great managers but it is a mystery why great leaders on the pitch like Keane and Robson haven't had too much success.....so far!
